Schenk was honored at the breakfast for his contributions as president over the last year and Spitzer was named the Foundation's "2006 Community Champion" for his commitment to preventing consumer fraud.

Founded in 1986 by members of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), the Civil Justice Foundation is a Washington D.C.-based non-profit organization dedicated to preventing consumer injury and defending consumer access to justice. Schenk oversaw the organization for a one-year term, from 2005-2006, and still serves on its board of directors.
