Spectacular news: On October 4, as 120 Meso Foundation volunteers blanketed Capitol Hill on our Call for a Cure advocacy day, the Senate unanimously passed S. 742, the Ban Asbestos in America Act. The Meso Foundation has been working closely with Senator Murray on this legislation over the past six years. This legislation would finally ban asbestos and fund meso research. The Senators literally knew we were coming, and so worked extra hard to pass the bill while we were there.
