Shari Schenk was appointed to a four-year term on the State Commission for Economic Development shortly before recalled Gov. Gray Davis left office. Schenk, sister-in-law of Lynn Schenk, chief of staff to the former governor, serves as marketing director for the law firm of Casey Gerry Reed & Schenk and is a former president of the Agency for Jewish Education.
