Carmel Valley resident Robert Francavilla — a partner at Casey, Gerry, Reed & Schenk — has been named an officer of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego (CASD), an organization of trial lawyers whose focus is to preserve and protect the legal rights of consumers.

According to David Casey, Jr., senior partner with the prominent plaintiff’s law firm, Robert Francavilla was named CASD’s president-elect.

Francavilla focuses his trial practice on all aspects of serious personal injury and wrongful death actions including product liability, automotive litigation, premises liability and highway design matters. A longtime CASD member, that organization has honored him three times with an “Outstanding Trial Lawyer” award. He is also a member of Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the San Diego County Bar Association. A former Tort Law Editor of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego’s publication Trial Bar News, he has also served as an instructor at the San Diego Inn of Court’s College of Advocacy and is an arbitrator by appointment of the San Diego Superior Court. Francavilla earned his JD from the University of San Diego.
