California Toyota and Lexus owners can seek prompt relief through a state-based class action lawsuit

Many owners no longer want to drive their car or truck because of the risk of sudden, uncontrollable acceleration. Although Toyota states that accelerators stick very rarely, everyone who owns one of the at-risk vehicles faces the fear and uncertainty that comes of knowing that their vehicle could unexpectedly become a dangerous missile, potentially lethal for drivers, passengers, and anyone in its path.
Owners have also suffered an increasing financial loss. As reports of crashes, injuries and fatalities pile up, and as the recalls drag on, with Toyota’s repeated changes in its story, more models being implicated. and no firm solution in sight, owners have seen a steady loss in the value of their cars. As of February 2010, retail demand for Toyotas and Lexus vehicles has decreased, and Toyota and Lexus owners attempting sell their vehicles have seen precipitous declines in their resale value. Further declines in value are likely.
