Jeremy Robinson

Jeremy Robinson is a senior associate at Casey Gerry. He specializes in the analysis of complex legal matters, motions, and civil writs and works with every attorney in the firm on legal issues involved in their cases. Many issues in court turn on obtaining favorable legal rulings, in which Mr. Robinson excels.

Since joining the firm several years ago, he has been involved in numerous landmark cases, and has played a key role in many significant victories for Casey Gerry clients. He was part of the team from Casey Gerry that worked on behalf of former Governor Gray Davis against the Tobacco Industry resulting in a settlement in excess of $25 billion for the State of California. He also worked on an appellate victory concerning statewide environmental contamination caused by the emission of diesel exhaust which is an environmental hazard. Recently, he was involved in a very high profile civil rights case brought by three teenage boys and their families after the boys were arrested improperly for allegedly committing a murder. Ultimately, the charges against them were dismissed when the victim’s blood turned up on another individual's clothing; evidence the police had possession of since the inception of the investigation. Because of Mr. Robinson's excellent legal work, Casey Gerry was successful in making a significant recovery for our client, one of the wrongfully accused teenage boys.

More recently, Mr. Robinson played a critical role in obtaining a $3.25 million settlement in a case where the defendant had repeatedly flouted basic safety laws and regulations. Mr. Robinson helped convince the judge that the plaintiff potentially would be entitled to punitive damages for the defendant's egregious conduct, which resulted in an immediate settlement. Mr. Robinson works with virtually every attorney in the firm on complex legal issues involved with all aspects of litigation.

Mr. Robinson is the co-author of a chapter in the national publication "Litigating Tort Cases," which features chapters from leading attorneys around the Country. While attending the University of Kentucky College of Law, Mr. Robinson received the CALI award of Excellence for his Constitutional Law Topics Seminar, and was one of four people selected to represent the College of Law in the national ATLA mock trial competition.

In his spare time, Mr. Robinson and his wife enjoy music and staying fit.
