Robert J. Francavilla

Robert J. Francavilla, a partner in the firm, is one of the leading trial lawyers in California. In 2005, he obtained in verdicts and settlements alone over $20 million on behalf of his clients. Fellow attorneys with a case coming to trial often turn to Robert, and ask him to try the lawsuit for their clients. Robert handles a wide variety of product liability, automobile accident, truck accident, premises liability and highway design cases.

A distinguished and respected trial lawyer, Mr. Francavilla has four times been honored by the consumer attorneys of San Diego with the Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award. Mr. Francavilla has been selected by his peers for inclusion in "The Best Lawyers in America" publication (2008-2010) in both the Product Liability Litigation and Personal Injury Litigation sections. The Southern California Super Lawyers publication named him as one San Diego’s outstanding personal injury lawyers (2007-2009) and named him as one of the top 50 lawyers in San Diego in 2008. He was also voted by the San Diego legal community as one of the San Diego Daily Transcript's Top Attorneys (2007-2009). Mr. Francavilla was a finalist for the 2007-2008 Consumer Attorneys of California's Consumer Attorney of the Year Award.

Mr. Francavilla has handled numerous serious injury cases, which have included painful losses involving wrongful death, paraplegia, quadriplegia, severe burns, loss of limbs, and other cases. The breadth of cases he has handled includes multi-million dollar results in maritime accident cases, highway design cases, vicarious liability cases, automobile accident cases, premises liability, and other serious injuries.

Mr. Francavilla was elected by his peers to be the president of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego in 2005. He helps instruct other attorneys in litigation at the San Diego Inn of Court’s College of Advocacy and is a frequent lecturer for trial attorneys’ continuing education, both in California and nationally. He is also a member of the highly respected American Board of Trial Advocates.

In his free time between trials, Mr. Francavilla enjoys spending time with his wife Carla and their son. He also enjoys running, weight training and golf.
