San Diego Asbestos Litigation Lawyer Jessica E. Klarer
After growing up in Orange County and graduating from UC Irvine, Jessica Klarer Pride decided to devote her professional life to representing people injured through the careless or willful negligence of another. As an associate attorney at Casey Gerry, Mrs. Pride is a dedicated advocate of people injured in situations beyond their control such as automobile collisions, asbestos claims, products and premises liability or other serious personal injury cases.

While pursuing her dream of becoming a professional litigator, Mrs. Pride worked as a certified law clerk at Girardi and Keese in Los Angeles, but then relocated to San Diego to serve as a clerk at Casey Gerry. It was during this time she functioned in vital roles on several teams focused on personal injury and product liability cases, including litigation against the manufacturer of Vioxx.

After passing the bar in May of 2007, Mrs. Pride joined Casey Gerry as an associate attorney. Even during her relatively short tenure at the firm, Mrs. Pride has participated in over 75 cases, and has helped the senior partners obtain more than $4.5 million in verdicts and settlements.

Mrs. Pride believes that being an attorney is more than proving right and wrong, or wining a court victory at the expense of both parties; it is about fairness. She knows without justice, there can be no true resolution of differences.   However, resolution need not always be in a court of law, so she trained with the California Academy of Mediation professionals to discover new ways to both advocate for her clients as well as reach amicable settlements between contesting parties.

Her peers recently voted her to a board membership for the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and the San Diego County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division.  Mrs. Pride also counts Lawyers Club of San Diego and La Raza Lawyers as some of her professional associations.

In addition to being bilingual in English and Spanish, Mrs. Pride spends her free time participating in the local community as a “Big Sister” in theBig Brothers Big Sisters youth mentoring program, and is especially proud of her nine year old “Little Sister.”

When not spending time with her little sister or attending charity events, Mrs. Pride enjoys the company of her husband, family and friends.  She is also a foodie who enjoys exploring San Diego for the newest flavors and tastes in restaurants and wine tasting.
